To provide a natural setting along the Peace River. Showcasing world-class sculptures and spectacular botanicals that inspire creativity throughout the community.
The Plan: Yearly Expansion
The Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens will open in phases. The first phase opened in Fall 2017, and features the Sculpture Garden, 840 linear feet of boardwalks, the Peace River observation deck, Butterfly House, the Gardens Community Center with refreshment stand and gift shop, water garden, and terraces and lawn to hold memorable events.
In Fall of 2021, we cleared trails along our island to showcase the beautiful landscape that offers an abundance of birds and other wildlife along with unique air plants and native foliage. We have also added a thriving nursery where you can purchase a variety of unique finds that we propagate on our property.
The later phases will debut a Welcome Center with an expanded gift shop, plant store, and café centered around a picturesque courtyard. Additionally, a conservatory, fine arts museum/library and museum courtyards will further enhance the Gardens. The remaining boardwalks will lead to the island, showcasing a multi-use pavilion with a stage and event lawn. There are plans to add a children’s garden and interpretive nature trails to help visitors understand our unique ecosystem.
