“Tree Trellises” – by Stefani & Co., of Orchard Lake Michigan.
These three units were fabricated by the metal-smith team led by Cary Stefani. The bases were fabricated in Michigan and the vertical structures were fabricated of rebar on-site.
Each unit stands 20’ tall and is 22’ in diameter at the top. Each of the three was planted with a different color of climbing bougainvillea.
As visitors enter the main gates to the Gardens on the South side of Riverside Drive (opposite the Sculpture Gardens on the North side), these “tree trellises” are at the far end of the entry drive as visitors turn right to enter the parking lot.
