Photography Policies

While visiting Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens, please be aware that you may be filmed, videotaped, or photographed by one of our PRB&SG employees or contracted photographers. Unless we receive express requests from you to the contrary, your admission to the garden serves as your permission for us to capture and utilize media featuring you for PRB&SG purposes.

Pet Policies

To ensure the safety and security of both your pets and our visitors, as well as the well-being of our grounds, we regret to inform you that pets are not currently allowed at Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens.

We do, however, welcome ADA-defined service dogs that have been specifically trained to perform task-specific assistance into our gardens, in accordance with ADA laws.

Please note:

  • Leashed pets are allowed on Tail Waggin' Tuesdays for a $5 donation that will benefit the Animal Welfare League.
  • All other animals, including comfort and support animals, are not permitted on our premises on days other than Tuesdays.

Accessibility

At Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens, our dedication is to provide a welcoming environment where visitors of all abilities can enjoy the gardens without obstacles.

Our walkways and pathways are designed with accessibility in mind, featuring either hard-packed dirt and crushed shell surfaces or fully paved ones. Additionally, we offer the availability of two non-motorized wheelchairs for loan, provided free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis.

While motorized wheelchairs are allowed to enhance accessibility, please note that we do not permit other motorized vehicles, such as trams or golf carts, as well as recreational vehicles like bicycles, skateboards, hoverboards, or roller blades/skates within the gardens. This policy helps maintain a safe and tranquil environment for all of our visitors.

Health & Safety Policy

Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our valued guests, staff, volunteers, and the community as we continue to navigate the post-COVID-19 landscape. While the pandemic has eased, we remain dedicated to providing a secure environment for all who visit our gardens. To this end, we have implemented the following health and safety measures:

General Guidelines:

  • We encourage all visitors to respect the well-being of others.
  • Please continue to follow basic hygiene practices, such as regular hand washing and using hand sanitizers available throughout the gardens.
  • If you are feeling unwell or exhibiting any symptoms of illness, we kindly ask that you postpone your visit.

Social Distancing:

  • While not as stringent as before, we encourage visitors to maintain a reasonable distance from others who are not part of their group.
  • There are no specific capacity limits, but we advise spreading out and avoiding crowded areas when possible.

Face Coverings:

  • Wearing face masks is optional for all visitors. We respect personal choices and ask that you be considerate of others' preferences.

Sanitization:

  • We continue to regularly clean and sanitize common touchpoints and facilities for your safety.

Visiting Vulnerable Populations:

  • While not mandatory, we recommend that individuals from vulnerable populations consider their health and take necessary precautions, such as wearing masks.

Visitor Limits:

  • We do not anticipate the need to limit visitor numbers unless crowded conditions become a concern. In such cases, we may encourage visitors to return during less busy times.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding as we adapt to these changing circumstances. Our primary goal is to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. Thank you for being part of the Peace River Botanical & Sculpture Gardens community, and we look forward to providing you with a memorable and secure experience during your visit.
